I absolutely don't agree with this claim: "In most regions, Backe is the normal word for “cheek” while Wange is formal or literary." Wange is the normal word that you'd use when conversing with a stranger. In fact, Backe can be offensive; it often connotes "butt cheeks" rather than "face cheeks."--108.16.230.212 21:52, 22 May 2022 (UTC)
