This word does not have a locative but uses the ablative to represent the locative (ablativus loci).

Accourding to Georges' Ausführliches lateinisch-deutsches Handwörterbuch (1913) its locative is Carthagini (= dative) & (more common) Carthagine (= ablative). Is there a dativus loci? If not, then there should be no doubt, that it is a locative. -IP, 20:44, 15 December 2014 (UTC)
