About the etymology[edit]

The word "Confucius" has been translated into the Latin language in Ming dynasty China. However, the Ming Mandarin is different to the modern standard Mandarin. Therefore, the etymology should be from the Ming Mandarin rather than the modern standard Mandarin “Kǒng Fūzǐ”. 懒得起 (talk) 08:06, 17 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
