    It's a trademark: [1] -- User:Equinox
Hi. I know it has unusual capitals. But that doesn't make it a trade mark. It is a standard format. Anyone can build one AFAIK. No patents. Cheers. -- User: Algrif
From Pedia -- The term "CubeSat" was coined to denote nano-satellites that adhere to the standards described in the CubeSat design specification. -- end quote. The trademark was probably abandoned because it was probably not permitted, due to this coinage. An abandoned trademark application is not per se a trademark. -- User: Algrif
