Wow. This is almost entirely wrong.

"From a British-flagged Nova Scotian brigantine by this name that crossed the Atlantic Ocean and went through the Straits of Gibraltar and into the Mediterranean Sea under full sail without a crew or any occupants."

The Mary Celeste was under the American flag when she was found drifting and deserted in the Atlantic. She did not pass through the Strait of Gibraltar into the Mediterranean; she was sailed to Gibraltar by crew members of the Dei Gratia, which was a Canadian brigantine, and safely docked there.
