Latin - Notes

• Latin dictionaries mention Νυσεύς but LSJ doesn't have it, so it properly could be *Νυσεύς; or LSJ could miss the word.
• Dictionaries mention genitives but both could be unattested, so it properly could be *Nȳseī or *Nȳseos – in case of other words such genitives do exist, the first one after the Latin second declension and second one after the Greek third declension.
• Gaffiot's and WT's (Wiktionary:Wanted entries) "Nȳseūs" is an improper or incorrect way to mark a diphthong as it looks like a short e followed by a long u. Digitalised L&S has "Nȳseus (dissyl.)" with "(dissyl.)" to mark the diphthong. Some dictionaries better mark it as "Nȳse͡us".
  Maybe note that Nȳseūs for Wiktionary is incorrect (short e, long u) and that "Nȳseus" without any diacritic or note is at best misleading, if it isn't incorrect too, as it looks like *Nȳseus (short e, short u just like Nȳsĕŭs).
