@Mar vin kaiser: initially from the shop signs in the picture there, but I've just found today that Arte de la Lengua Chiõ Chiu also mentions the characters, specifically "鋪" on page 76 of the pdf of it, but the handwriting for the spanish meaning is kinda hard to read, but at the very least, the timeline matches up to this colonial-era surname.--Mlgc1998 (talk) 11:00, 24 November 2020 (UTC)
