Talk:Salafism

The phrase "which calls to adherence to the Path of the Messenger" does not distinguish this form of Islam from others. Sufis, Shia and others would also claim their form of Islam “calls to adherence to the Path of the Messenger”. How is Salafism different from other forms of Islam? I am not trying to be offensive here, I am merely making a point that this definition does not help a non-Muslim understand how Salafism differs from other forms of Islam.
