“Dialectal” in the context of German means “not part of the standard language”. If the word Schmetten were part of Austrian standard German, it would therefore not be dialectal. I think this might be the case but I'm not quite sure. Anyone?Kolmiel (talk) 19:41, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
- And another thing: Is Schmetten actually = cream, or is it the same as what we more to the north call Schmand, i.e. a thick and very fat mass derived from cream?Kolmiel (talk) 20:08, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
