- (Disclosure: I created all these Timon* pages.) It's a fairly rare term; I'd like to compare it to the similar adjective galvanizing, as in "the galvanizing process", which is also understood as a noun, as seen in:
- "The galvanizing of components of more than 19 m in length has now become possible."[1]
- "The galvanizing of Catholic forces during the Kulturkampf of the 1870s"[2]
- And 152,000+ hits just for "the galvanizing of" at Google
- As I understand it, the present participle of a verb describing a process also generates a noun for that process: to Timonize --> the Timonizing. Maybe you're right that my quotation could belong more to the Verb section than the Noun section; but I don't see the problem with the Noun section.
