First Syllable Weight[edit]

This should probably be [trajˈjaː.nʊs] and not [traːˈjaː.nʊs]. In most cases of intervocalic I it represents a double [jj] (see W. Sidney Allen, Vox Latina), so in such cases vowel length cannot be determined from syllable weight. Unless there is an explicit ancient description of the quantity of the first vowel of this name, it is best to keep it ambiguous.
