- Crossposting from "wikipedia:talk:Uruguay#translation of the official name" in case anyone here has any input on the discussion of how to translate the official name of "República Oriental del Uruguay" from Spanish to English. Nicole Sharp (talk) 22:43, 3 September 2016 (UTC)

- @User:Nicole Sharp Whichever one is recognized as the official name should definitely be the lemma form. However, any other proper nouns that may be misconceptions should be listed as alternative forms, since they would meet WT:CFI. As for Wikipedia, I'm not sure. All should be created as redirects on Wikipedia in my opinion. Philmonte101 (talk) 17:56, 4 September 2016 (UTC)
