Maximum accrual[edit]

If you are adding and subtracting occasionally and are limited to a maximum accrual does this mean the total of all additions or the maximum total? —This unsigned comment was added by 65.31.64.57 (talkcontribs) 2006-07-10 14:05:58.

Typically, "maximum accrual" refers to the maximum throughout the process. At least, that is the definition used for accumulation of vacation time (or paid time off) granted to an employee by an employer. Thus, an employment agreement with a maximum accrual of 4 weeks of vacation time means that the employee forfeits any accumulated vacation time in excess of 4 weeks. Rod (A.
