Assumption of failure

"Note: The verb affect has so many meanings that giving translations for the act of affecting and the state of being affected often makes no sense as a dozen different verbs may be required to cover affect in another language."

Shouldn't we try anyway? Is there at least a more appropriate place to direct dictionary users to translations, like affecting and affected? DAVilla 08:07, 21 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
