Talk:arbalest

It seems to me that I have read the word "arbalest" in a context which quite clearly indicated that it was some form of medieval catapult, powered either by elastic flexure of the 'throwing arm' [not knowing the correct term for this] or by a very heavy counterweight on a shorter opposed lever arm.
