In Discorsi sopra la prima deca I.1, Machiavelli says of Florence, "né poté, ne' principii suoi, fare altri augumenti che quelli che per cortesia del principe gli erano concessi." Wiktionary doesn't include augumenti as a noun, but I have found mention at Treccani of its singular form augumento. Here is a link to the page at Treccani.

Augumento and augumenti seem to be antique forms that have been replaced by aumento and aumenti in our present usage. I would willingly add pages and crosslinks for these words, but I feel doubtful about taking this occasion to become a Wiktionary editor for Italian, when I am still learning the language's basics. Nonetheless, it seems the additions will be useful, so I make mention of the need for them here, hoping that someone will follow up.

Grazie.
