Ba1[edit]

Not sure titling articles with numbers is a good idea, in part because other languages (including Cantonese) also use numbers to represent tones. 24.29.228.33 23:39, 19 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is an issue that has been debated in the past at WT:BP. I don't believe that there is unanimous agreement on whether these should be included. If you really take issue with it, I recommend raising the issue once again at WT:BP. However, I would recommend that you take time to flesh out your arguments a little bit more before posting something there. -- A-cai 05:16, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I did say, "in part because other languages (including Cantonese) also use numbers to represent tones," which was the essence of my comment, and which was not addressed. 24.29.228.33 06:21, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you want an answer to your question, I recommend posting a note at WT:BP. I'm one of the few people who even bothers to read a talk page like this, much less respond. -- A-cai 07:38, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wiktionary is a collaborative effort, not a game or a place to attempt to one-up or put down any other editor. A simple response to a simple comment or question asked in good faith is all that is asked, as I always do when asked by another editor. 24.29.228.33 08:11, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Then please start collaborating. Post a note on WT:BP, and find out what the community thinks. I don't have an opinion on the subject. -- A-cai 08:17, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
