Why is there a nasal vowel in the transcription of this word for RP English? Nasal vowels aren't phonemic in English, and even if they appear as indicated in that transcription, without a following nasal contoid like [n], it's very probably an intentional (and probably posh) choice, not a normal feature of English. 186.88.241.194 19:06, 12 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
