Talk:barbaric

Definition from Wiktionary, the free dictionary

Since the term "barbaric" started with simply disadvantaged people not yet well-established and settled with the Greek community - I would prefer not to use the term as it tends to allude nowadays.

I do not profess any skills in word history. I only comment that reference to "baby seals" is an attempt at word association by an animal rights sympathizer. It is not an attempt to provide a clear and unambiguous example of the use of the word.
