- @Leasnam, Al-Muqanna: All good, thank you; but it's unclear because the verb sense meaning "to tend a beehive" is somewhat revealed by the gerund beehiving (“the keeping of bees”) even though we don't show this sense at beehive (verb) - but it's really splitting hairs anyway, it's all the same suffix, and I think what you've done makes more sense anyway :) Leasnam (talk) 14:14, 28 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Leasnam: Cheers. There's an added complication in many cases because a verb is often "backformed" out of an originally denominal occupational term, which then starts looking more like an agent noun. That seems like it might have happened in this case (outside of the specific form "beehiving" the verb seems very rare).
