2nd and 3rd present[edit]

Is there an i-umlaut (God I hope I'm using this term right) on the 2nd and 3rd present? Making behrēp(e)st and behrēp(e)þ respectively?? Anglish4699 (talk) 03:19, 28 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

i-umlaut is the correct term to use...also i-mutation. And yes, because hrōpan is a strong verb, we would expect to see mutation in the second and third person singular indicative forms where possible, so *hrēp- ;) Leasnam (talk) 03:23, 28 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
