In 1963 or 1964 at Beaumaris High School Victoria Australia, two students , myself and Peter Roberts were inventing new words for fun only one of our words ever took off and was used around the school before spreading everywhere. It was the word "Bingle" which meant car crash. We coined that word after "Jedda" Crowhurst (a local legend) crashed his Ford Pilot into two parked cars close to the school.
