Someone needs to add the definition pertaining to endurance sports. AKA hitting the wall AKA glycogen depletion. If you have ever experienced it, you know what it is. Another meaning for this word as inoperable machine art https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bonk_Business. It's since become relatively common in finnish computer hobbyist scene as a word for old (salvaged), but still operable computer equipment. "I have so much bonk in my apartment i cannot fit a single laptop in anymore" --2001:14BA:2BE0:7B00:A55E:AC5C:7D1:D97B 11:26, 16 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure about the etymology of UK usage. I think 'bonk' is likely to be backslang for 'knob', which is British slang for penis. 'Bonking' is similarly related to 'knobbing', slang for sexual intercourse. An imitative origin seems very unlikely. I can't find a good ref for this though. --51.9.219.210 15:12, 22 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
