κεραμίδιον (keramídion) is also from κέραμος (kéramos), just that it passed through an adjectival form.
- κέραμος > κεραμίς > κεραμίδιον > κεραμίδι > cărămidă
- κέραμος > κεραμικός > céramique > ceramică

- That's not a sustainable way to classify descendants, cognates or doublets – we've had issues like these before. We need to look at the closest common denominator or else we will have to add loads of more or less related terms for each and every language. --Robbie SWE (talk) 20:03, 24 February 2021 (UTC)

- My objection is to adding ceramică as a doublet of cărămidă and vice versa – they have passed through different words and even though they have a distant common source, the relation is not clear-cut. --Robbie SWE (talk) 20:15, 24 February 2021 (UTC)
