I think catch wind, or caught wind, are expressions; I think it may refer to hearing of something through other means (like "I caught wind of Obama's bad tax returns", "Oh yeah? I catch wind of stuff like that at times; Romney's dog, for instance") I may be in error on usage, so I do not know CypherMolexp (talk) 17:52, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, and it is only ever followed by "of". It is an alternative form of (deprecated template usage) get wind of (which we have). SemperBlotto (talk) 17:59, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
