Talk:cennan

I have split the meaning of 'beget' away from the causative of 'can' based on discussion in *kannijaną's talk page as well as the fact someone had already gone and created *kanjana, just not linked it back here. The Michigan Uni's Middle English Dictionary also gives the word 'kennen' two seperate entries. I am not certain, though, about that other sense given to Etym-1 - 'producing', 'bringing forth' and 'declaring' - as the semantic water seems a bit muddy for me. After all, why couldn't that sense naturally arise from the idea of revelation -- bringing forth knowledge? I'll leave that for the experts. Eigooms (talk) 02:02, 9 January 2018 (UTC)
