Chickenhawk ≠ peacemonger (?)[edit]

Today, I was bold and deleted this, which was third in the article at the time:

  1. (U.S. Politics) A peacemonger. A politician who votes against war

as I couldn't find any use of the term for this meaning in an online search, nor at sources such as dictionary.com. I checked the article history and no reference was given, so I removed it to avoid confusion with the term's primary political meaning, which addresses warmongers and is 180° contradictory to the peacemonger definition. I would not object to its return, if a reliable reference which indicated widespread usage of chickenhawk defined as peacemonger were included. -- Lisasmall 19:26, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Non-derogatory, lesbian usage[edit]

The document at [1] mentions chickenhawk as someone who "likes novices" in the context of lesbian S/M and handkerchief color codes. If such usage exists elsewhere, the gay slang definition may need updating. —The Editor's Apprentice (talk) 21:21, 11 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
