In the absence of marriage?[edit]

Currently the definition states "the parent of one's son- or daughter-in-law", implying that the parents of the common grandchild are necessarily married. Is this actually a requirement? I would have thought that, since the emphasis of this term is on the common grandchild, it could just as well be used if the grandchild was born out of wedlock or the parents have since divorced (in which case they wouldn't be co-parents-in-law). — Smjg (talk) 11:55, 11 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
