Does Photo Have It Backwards?

[edit]

The photo (Church of St John the Baptist, Baginton) seems to show a tower which is corbelled in; that is, a tower in which successive courses (rows or layers) of masonry grow smaller, rather than larger ("To furnish with a corbel of courses, each projecting beyond the one below it”; emphasis mine).

One of the photos accompanying the Wikipedia Barbizan article might be a good choice. (Photos from the Corbel article, not so much. These show isolated brackets, as opposed to entire staggered courses.)

Or am I missing something?

I can do this. I’ll confess it’s a little more ambitious than my edits to date, so I wanted to check for some confirmation before pursuing it. Thanks!
