Well, historically-speaking, it was used amongst the population of ex-Yugoslavia parallel with the Turkish-derived šećer. However, its usage died out, only used colloquially by older generations as the prevailing term for sugar became šećer. Officially, the only sources I can find on short notice say that the term is used among the Bokelji, the local population of a coastal region in western Montenegro known as Boka Kotorska, or the Bay of Kotor in English. --Kilibarda 01:04, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
