Are you absolutely sure 'def' is a #111 top rated English word, and not some meta-command of Project Gutenberg?

... so nearly two years later, we still have this recorded as a common word? ... or does Gutenberg read only slang in blogs? I notice that the "word" has moved down to #128 on our linked list, but it is still there! Should it be removed as an error, or is there some common usage (other than British and American slang)?
