@Sgconlaw Why did you move the 2003 book quote back to the entry? I intentionally separated it since it uses the word in a different sense. The context of the quote is that the Ukrainian is using obscure words like "yore" and "proximal", which is just about the exact opposite of the "dry" and "straightforward" phrasing of a dictionary definition. @Ioaxxere: I have to say it is not at all obvious from the quotation that it is using the word dictionaryese in a different sense.
