Secondary Meaning of Electic Eel:

Throughout Australia an electric eel commonly means a tool used by Plumbers and Drainers to clear underground pipes of tree roots etc. It is a strong flexible steel wire coil with a cutting end. A diameter is selected to suit the pipe, and can be extended by additional coil lengths. It is turned by an electric motor as it is inserted into the pipe. It is possible this secondary meaning also applies in other English speaking countries.
