Possible Alternate Name

I could swear I've also heard this referred to as a "false finish". I seem to recall hearing it in a military context, like when soldiers go on a road march (or some other grueling task) and upon thinking they're near the end, come to find out they still have a ways to go. Drill instructors do this to test the mental endurance of trainees, since, as I'm sure you can understand, it can be very psychologically defeating for someone at the end of their physical ropes. 67.171.222.203 17:19, 25 April 2014 (UTC)
