- The Italian Wiktionary gives fare la fronda as idiom with the sense “to oppose in a covert way”. Is the secretiveness implied in the meaning of fronda, or were the editors of the Wikizinario mistaken in writing “in maniera occulta”? --Lambiam 11:27, 22 May 2021 (UTC)
- I think the secretiveness is implied in the meaning of fronda. For example, the Devoto-Oli defines fronda as a "covert movement of tenacious opposition" (emphasis mine, and this is obviously a translation of the Italian definition). Imetsia (talk)
