Not fully accurate to require "constant metric tensor", as you see if you e.g. consider the metric tensor on R^2, expressed in polar coordinates... (Or do you assume another notion of "constance" than "every partial derivative=0"?) \Mike 15:36, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
