Talk:floruit

In the second edition of the Cambridge Guide to Australian English usage 2007, the author Pam Peters, gives a useful account of the term "Floruit", which in its abbreviated form "fl." is used to denote that a quoted date represents a period where the individual being discussed was particularly productive - he or she "flourished" around this time.
