Of or relating to foliage[edit]

I agree that the etymology is from foliage, but the word never seems to be used with the meaning of relating to foliage. In fact the OED claims that the usage is restricted to one particular acid. Can anyone find an actual usage separate from pteroyl(mono)glutamic acid? Dbfirs 16:53, 3 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

(later) I've found one genuine usage of folic (as a synonym for foliate), so perhaps we should split the senses with a "rare" tag if anyone can find a couple of other (mis-)uses. Dbfirs 17:02, 3 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
