Question about pronunciation
[edit]@Bcent1234 I'm moving your question about the pronunciation of forages to the Talk page. The question was: "Does the verb-form sound different in some dialects?" In US English, there are two pronunciations I can think of: /fɔɹ.ɪd͡ʒ.ɪz/ and /fɑɹ.ɪd͡ʒ.ɪz/. The first starts with a "four" sound and the second starts with a "far" sound. The second pronunciation is more common in the Northeastern US (particularly New York). I'd say the first pronunciation is the most common, though. As for other dialects in the US or elsewhere, I don't know. The noun form, forager, has the same characteristics. Hope this answers your question! BirdHopper (talk) 01:59, 13 July 2017 (UTC)
