It seems to me that the term "forced labor" usually has a negative tone, that is to say it tends to suggest that the coercion is a moral and/or legal wrong. Coercion to work is generally accepted with prisoners (including POWs by the way), but people wouldn't use the term "forced labor" for this unless they are against it. Of course, the political question is irrelevant here. It's just that linguistically this tendency suggests that "forced labor" is not a neutral term. 92.73.31.52 00:14, 12 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
