I don't know where to put this so I'm trying here. Frankly, the only accurate option would be to gut this etymology. It's not tenable. The one language and group Hancock's theory rests on are the Sindhu, and y->j transforms are highly rare in that language. You cannot build a theory based on the Sinti and Sindhu being intimately connected whilst relying on Prakrit word evolutions. Romani terms for outsiders are not based on civilian-hood. The adjectival derived terms from Gadze are related to being a peasant and being a renegade, gadzehko and gadzisajvav, the former of which is more related to inferiority rather than requiring protection, and the latter of which is pretty much total anathema to this theory — This unsigned comment was added by Dzungalo77 (talkcontribs).
