Leasnam, it seems improbable that this word isn't derived from Proto-West Germanic *giwēn, although I don't know what impact that would have on its relationship to Proto-Germanic *giwō; yet the current phrasing implies the latter to be the more likely. Perhaps a better phrasing could be:

From Proto-West Germanic *giwēn, cognate with anagiwēn ("to desire, long for"). Possibly also related to Proto-Germanic *giwō ("boasting; audacity"), and therefore to Old Norse gjó ("enjoyment; sensuality; lust"), Middle High German giude ("loud revelry; boasting").
