Early stress

Compounds in great- are usually late-stressed: ˌgreat-ˈgrandˌdaughter. However great-aunt/uncle, which are regularly subject to stress-shifting in names (ˌgreat-ˈaunt◂, ˌGreat-Aunt ˈMary), are by some people always given early stress. --Backinstadiums (talk) 11:05, 7 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
