I've heard that /ə/ and /ʌ/ are pronounced identically in English, but used when the syllable is unstressed or stressed, respectively. Why are both /ˈhɪkəp/ and /ˈhɪkʌp/ given as pronunciations? Are they really any different? - excarnateSojourner (talk | contrib) 02:51, 25 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
