Origins of High-Octane

[edit]

I'm pretty sure I read from somewhere that "High-Octane" originated from old gasoline and oil company advertisements. I was wondering if anyone else knew anything about this, just to double check. I just think it's a cool word and I'd like to know the real etymology behind it. 70.63.182.42 15:49, 14 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
