Notes on Italiot-Greek[edit]

https://forum.termometropolitico.com/193067-poesie-griko-notare-somiglianza-litaliano.html#post4372021

In searching for an attestation, I found this poem in Griko; I can't confirm this as an attestation because I can't read it to say it's using the word to mean 'girl', but it's useful and I'm leaving the link here.

I'm... very much not sure about Greek script about this one, so this is even MORE of an educated guess than usual. Addition to parameters - apparently chi is used as 'h' in modern Greek. (Parameters: β = v, no breathing marks, τ = (sometimes) δ, u = υ or ου, c = κ, ng = γγ, χ = ch or h)

κιατερὲδδχα κιατερὲδδα (if the 'h' is only for Latin spelling - possible) Elliott Dunstan (talk) 18:01, 17 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
