it might be interesting to a few to know that this word is eerie-ingly similar to the Hindi word 'langur' - a monkey like creature (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gray_langur). The words are unrelated, though. Langur is from a Hindi word, and may be derived from the Sanskrit meaning "having a tail". — SGconlaw (talk) 19:44, 17 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
