anybody there is this the same as self harming.Are they masochists?
- No. Self-harming individuals feel pain when they cause self-harm, but a masochist feels primarily excitment when receiving pain from others. Self-harming individuals usually try to hide the fact that they are causing self-harm, but a masochist thrills in the shared experience. --EncycloPetey 17:41, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
