This article is mixed up. Is it a prefix or an adjective? Isn't the Greek original "megalos"? The definition doesn't make sense.

I suspect that many of the colloquial meanings are nonce words, trademarks or rare and should be marked as such; some might not belong in Wikipedia and should be removed. Just my opinion. -- Paul G 07:56, 14 Jan 2004 (UTC)

I thought the official names for M in computer terms was mibi, kibi, etc. I don't exactly like them and it doesn't seem like anyone uses or adopts them... Polyglot 20:48, 15 Jan 2004 (UTC)

NIST (US Government standards body) has lots of good info on the new binary prefixes on their website. But the decimal prefixes are still in popular use, regardless of what the standards say. People haven't changed their habits overnight. -- Ortonmc 21:03, 15 Jan 2004 (UTC)
