@Per utramque cavernam Thanks for adding the etymology. On page 31 of the linked document it says: 'The German term "mensur" is gaining considerable acceptance in American English'. Could that explain the lack of a final 'e'? Kaixinguo~enwiktionary (talk) 22:34, 26 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
